What are the characteristics of reactive dyes?
Font size:SMB

Reactive dyes, also known as reactive dyes. It is a kind of dyes that react with fibers in dyeing. This kind of dye molecules contain groups that can react with fibers chemically. During dyeing, the dyes react with the fibers, forming a covalent bond between them to form a whole, thus improving the washing and rubbing fastness. Reactive dyes are a new kind of dyes. Reactive dye molecules consist of two main components: parent dye and reactive group. The group that can react with fiber is called reactive group.

Application and characteristics of reactive dyes

Reactive dyes, which are composed of parent dyes, linking groups and reactive groups, can form a strong covalent bond with fibers in use, and have a series of characteristics that other cellulose fiber dyes can't match. Therefore, it has established its position as the development and application focus of cellulose fiber dyes, and highlights the following four aspects:

1. Reactive dyes can obtain high levels of fastness, especially wet fastness, with economical dyeing process and simple dyeing operation.

2. Reactive dyes have wide spectrum, bright color, excellent performance and strong applicability. Their color phase and performance basically meet the market requirements for fiber and clothing materials.

3. Reactive dyes are one of the best alternatives to banned dyes and other types of cellulose dyes such as sulfide dyes, ice dyes and vat dyes.

4. Reactive dyes are suitable for printing and dyeing of new fiber products.

The main application field of reactive dyes is textile industry, and its own characteristics are widely used in fabric coloring process. Of course, reactive dyes as a chemical dye, the use of methods also have certain skills, not arbitrary blind use can achieve good results; so in the use of first to understand its use skills, in order to achieve better results.
